The importance of CPA mobility

CPA mobility is how we describe the ability of CPAs to practice across state lines and seamlessly protect the public interest. Mobility allows CPAs to work in multiple states virtually or in person, without having to obtain additional licenses or meet additional education or experience requirements.

CPA mobility is based on the principle of “substantial equivalency,” which means that if a CPA is licensed in one state and meets certain criteria, they should be able to practice in another state without having to obtain a new license.
